Desk accessories: monitor arms and extension leads

A monitor arm frees up desk space and lets you set the screen at the right height, and a proper extension lead puts an end to the tangle of cables under the desk. The range includes products from Herman Miller, Narbutas and Bachmann.

What's in the range

Herman Miller monitor arms hold one, two or three screens (Flo, Flo X, Lima, Ollin), and there is also the Oripura laptop stand. The under-desk extension leads are 1.5 and 3 m long, with four to six sockets, some with a switch and USB ports. On top of the desk there is the three-socket Bachmann Desk 2 and a Bachmann socket that is flush-mounted in the tabletop.

How to choose

• Number and weight of screens: Flo X is designed for a large screen.
• Mounting: check that the edge and thickness of the desk suit the arm's clamp.
• Number of sockets: count the devices on the desk that actually need to be plugged in.
